Dressing Up Your Dog Is Bullshit!

This is the picture that kinda got this thing going in my head…
Which got me to thinking that dogs must hate being dressed up in funny costumes/outfits. Really, look in his eyes. How sad is that?
Then I got to looking around…
And what I saw…
Goes from bizarre…
To silly…
To, uh…
To just plain wrong…
To… okay, that last one was cool!
But, see, dogs are like the dudes of the pet world. Yes, they’ll put up with this crap. Let you laugh, take pictures. Show them off. They don’t like it, but they take it. Like a dude. Just suck it up and deal.
Now, if you have a strong desire to dress up a pet, I’d recommend doing it to a cat. See, this little guy took right to it!

I must admit that I enjoy dressing up a little bit. But only because I get many, many treats when I wear outfits.

I put antlers on my black lab one Christmas. I took a picture and was stunned by the look of sheer embarassment on his face when I got the film developed! I’ve never dressed up a dog since then. Let them have their dignity!

I do have one real cute picture of a little dog dressed up. He is so cute. But I think animals should be left alone. One of these days one of them is going to bite the hand that dresses them!

They’re just frustrated because they don’t have kids to dress up on Halloween. I’ve never understood the need people have to own something they can lead around on a leash anyway.

You are exactly right. There’s no need to dress up a dog. It looks idiotic and, besides, dogs come already dressed — it’s called fur.
Let Rover, Fido, Spot or what-have-you keep his dignity.
