Now, I’m all for punishing people from doing bad things, but this one seems just a bit overboard!  I saw this in the Clarion Ledger, Alabama Man Gets Life For Exposing Himself.  Yes, this is a sick puppy, but does he deserve life in prision?

Sometimes you don’t want to think.  Sometimes you want someone to think for you.  If I were to pick a blogger to do that for me, it would probably be this guy.  No, not really, but The Matthias Chronicles sure is a fun read.

If I were to even consider calling bullshit on him it would to drop the special characters when he goes on a rant.  Cursing is cursing even when you use the @ symbols and the exclamation points.

For those who think I’m buying into the bullshit by recognizing him merely because he tagged me, I’d encourage you to read his blog a few times before you pass judgment.

I’m sure one who can relate to being a bit out of it.  This guy obviously doesn’t have any friends, or at least they weren’t at this game.  He’d had a few too many and while he was sleeping it off, the games began.  Nobody was watching the game, it was the Mets after all.

A New Way To Teach The Birds And The Bees?

Okay, I know this goes way over most kids’ heads, but this is quite over the top.  I happened across these bath toys (Purchased for a visiting nephew because we don’t have little kids, and every little kid needs bath toys.  Heaven knows we don’t want him playing with whatever else may be available).

The bath toys allow the kid to squeeze the air out and they suck up water.  They can then be used as little squirt guns (out their mouth, butt, or one of their appendages).  That sounds like cool bath time fun.  But these toys also do things that I’m not sure bath toys (or any toy for that matter) should do.  They are able to connect to each other with holes (the same ones they squirt through) and nubs.  Not unlike how two adults might choose to connect.  See for yourself.

Don’t these little guys look like their having a grand time?

Kids are master imitators.  Just ask any parent.  This is way uncool if you ask me.

As if that weren’t bad enough, the faucet covering frog has something up his butt.  It doesn’t seem to bother him all that much either.

Is this a new way to teach kids the birds and the bees?

Dressing Up Your Dog Is Bullshit!

Which got me to thinking that dogs must hate being dressed up in funny costumes/outfits.  Really, look in his eyes.  How sad is that?

Then I got to looking around…

Goes from bizarre…

To silly…

To, uh…

To just plain wrong…

To… okay, that last one was cool!

But, see, dogs are like the dudes of the pet world.  Yes, they’ll put up with this crap.  Let you laugh, take pictures.  Show them off.  They don’t like it, but they take it.  Like a dude.  Just suck it up and deal.

Now, if you have a strong desire to dress up a pet, I’d recommend doing it to a cat.  See, this little guy took right to it!

Hypocritical Boycotts Are Bullshit

Unless you’ve been under a rock for the past six months, you know that China is hosting the 2008 Olympics.  This is a historical event primarily because of the relations between China and the West.  China doesn’t want to play by our rules, but they have something we don’t, cheap labor.

Before you go throwing yourself into some kind of frenzy about all this, consider who you are and what benefits you might be deriving from this love hate relationship.  If you live in the US, you can be 100% sure that you own products produced in China.  Computers, televisions, radios, ipods/mp3 players, clothes, automobile parts, furniture, appliances, you name it, they make it.  So, it would be virtually impossible for you to avoid Chinese products.

How can you be heard?  Well, after being honest with yourself, you can start the dialog.  This can be done through blogs, via letters to your congressmen, etc.  The more this topic continues to bubble to the top, the more likely we will see cooperation from China.

China needs us as much as we need them.  This is a good thing.  People listen to friends much more so than they do enemies.  Think carrot not stick.

Using Your Religion For Profit Is Bullshit!

Now I’ll be one of the first to sign the petition to remove McDonald’s from our town. I don’t like how they portion their meals and lead us to believe it is real food. But this post isn’t about that.

Two Dearborn, Michigan women are suing McDonald’s for religious discrimination. On first blush it would seem they have a valid case. Apparently, the manager at this franchise told them that they couldn’t wear their hajib if they were to be hired. This rubbed the women the wrong way, and as is becoming the American way, they’ve filed a lawsuit.

Let’s back up a bit. They weren’t turned down for employment. While it was a bit insensitive of the manager to make these statements, he didn’t tell them he wouldn’t hire them.

McDonalds, like most fast food restaurants, has a uniform. Also, health codes would have to be considered. So, it isn’t unreasonable to think that an employee would dress as required. Thus we do have a conflict of requirements.

Where I call bullshit is that these women didn’t approach the management from a reasonable standpoint. They jumped into a lawsuit. Why? If they really wanted to work, wouldn’t they make a single call to the franchise management?

I think the picture tells the story. This is about extracting as many of those “muslim dollars” as they can without bothering to show up for work. Sorry ladies, but that is bullshit. Find another fast food restaurant to work at.

Losing Your Child Is Bullshit!

This out of Israel:

Parents in a hurry to make a flight to Paris get on the plane with only four of their five children.  The lost child, wandering the airport crying is found by security.  They didn’t realize what had happened until they were told the child was found.  They were airborne when this happened.  Their daughter was put on a subsequent flight to Paris, where they were reunited.

Do they really need the fifth kid?
