Blue Laws Are Bullshit!
By
admin on Aug. 17, 2008.

Blue Laws are laws that prevent stores from selling beer, wine or liquor on Sundays. These antiquated laws have been on the books in many jurisdictions for decades. And the citizens in these counties and towns, primarily in the Southeast, just go about life dealing with this.
Well, it is total bullshit! All it does is make people plan around it. You shop for your alcohol needs the day before. Why?
These laws were written back when we as a country let religion override basic rights. If you think we’ve evolved from that age, you are mistaken. We still have these legacy items hanging over us and that is bullshit!

Okay, BS, I’m sick of seeing your ADS EVERYWHERE! Christ you’d think BS was a spin-off of Gossip Girl or something. <3

I’m glad we made a positive impression. BTW, associating us with Gossip Girl is cool by us, we think she’s hot!

You think blue laws are bad? Try living in a damned dry county. What a bunch of crap.
Yes, we’ve lost a number of restaurants and have sent a bunch of our sales tax dollars up to those bastards in Little Rock simply because the Baptists and liquor store owners have blocked every attempt to make Saline County, Ark., wet.
Feh!

You need to live in Louisiana where we have liquor stores with drive through windows. Some even sell mixed drinks!

Do you think it’s worth complaining about how old church rules have impact on the jurisdiction, while some regions force their pupils to ignore Darwin? That’ what I call BS!
anyway, here in the southern part of Germany, beer counts as staple food

Have you ever been to Texarkana? One side of the road is in Arkansas and the other is in Texas- one is dry and the other is not.

Actually, yes, I’ve been to Texarkana. You have similar issues all over Texas due to local zoning of ABC. In some jurisdictions you have to join a “club” to get alcohol served. Total BS!
