I was filling up my truck the other day when I saw this sticker on a pole next to the pump. Of course gas prices are high, but having dropped a bit from the high it doesn’t seem to hurt quite as bad. But that is about the change…
It appears that Huricane Ike is going to make life a lot harder for the American worker as the MSNBC reports that gas prices are going to pop! It seems counter intuitive that oil could be dropping but gas goes up. But this isn’t a normal situation. See, most of the refineries are on the Texas and Louisiana coasts. If Ike damages them, supply of oil won’t be the problem, but making gasoline from that oil will be.

I think you forgot to mention OPEC decided to reduce their barrel production.
Seems bastards weren’t happy that the cost was dropping to almost $100 a barre. So they are effing us.

The upside is that for those of us with ecommerce websites will make more money as more and more people start shopping online instead of driving somewhere to do it.

It was nice when prices started to fall though. You are right, this will not last long prices have already started to climb.
